Another year, another attempt at daily or even occasional blogging.  Life is just so busy but as a friend of mine told me, I am as busy as I want to be.

So here we are on the eve of the Super Bowl with the 49'ers playing the Ravens in New Orleans.  While I am no huge 49'er fan, it sure would be nice to see them win on the heels of my beloved Giants winning the World Series.

I am also embarking on series of journeys this year - both internal and external.  I am vowing to take the journey toward a healthier me - and am slowly taking some steps, by educating my self, really watching what I eat (not crazily) and increasing my exercise level.  It won't happen overnight and the biggest problem I always face is that I loose motivation.  I loose 5 lbs and just stop the work.

I am also planning a huge trip with my mom in May to Africa.  We are traveling to Tanzania and I am going to try to journal about our plans, adventures and experiences.

Another reason I am hoping to re-energize my writing is that I need an outlet that allows me to voice my thoughts but that is less divisive than Facebook.  I am so tired of the battles.  After Newtown, I have no tolerance for ignorant folks holding onto their ignorant fears about any gun control.

So here's to a victory tomorrow, and more to come this year.
