It's the small things and when small is never enough

Yesterday was the first time every that Greg and I successfully completed a project that didn't lead to the two of us screaming and yelling at each other. We installed shelving in our storage room and got all the piles of boxes up off the floor.  We still have one to put in but it is already 1000% better.  Pictures to follow.

As a reward to ourselves we went to the Surf Spot here in town for dinner.  We had a delightful meal.  I had macadamia encrusted Mahi-Mahi while Greg enjoyed a large Caesar salad.  The food was perfectly prepared and spiced.  And we made reservations for the upcoming Valentine's Dinner.

This morning I was perusing FB and came across an article posted by my sister titles "So your feeling too fat to be photographed" on another blog.(Found here)  It really resonated with me as I realize I have been hiding from the front of the camera for years.  I have been the chief photographer for all my friends and family for years because it is easier than being in front of the camera.  Now keep in mind, I have mastered what I call my sorority smile, which, given the time to prepare, is exactly the same in every picture.  The smile is good, but it is what comes below the smile that bothers me.

Well, this is a vow to try to embrace the front of the camera, no matter the size of my thighs or number of chins.  My kids deserve some pictures of our life with their mom.

Now to more important details for the day - Go Niners!!!  Let's do this!!  Who's Got it Better than Us!
